August 3, Navajo Springs Hike
This is an interesting two-mile (round trip) hike to Navajo Springs and the Arizona Trail, led by NPS/USFS Interpretive Partnership Ranger, John Westerlund. Learn about the settlement of the area, including ranching and railroad history. Hiking shoes and water recommended. FREE event.

August 10, 2nd Annual Crayfest!
Join us for the 2nd Annual Mormon Lake Lodge Crayfest with lots of cooked crayfish and live Bluegrass music…fun for the whole family! Environmental Education program about catching, cleaning and eating Crayfish. Cost is $7.00 per person or $20.00 for family of 4 or $35.00 for family of 7.

August 17, Elk Workshop!
Learn about the behavior and habitat of Elk. The Arizona Game and Fish Department will have a presentation about Elk and then participants can go out with spotting scopes and binoculars to actually observe and discuss Elk in the field. Fun and family-friendly festivities for the 3-day Labor Day weekend! Roping in the arena, fishing, horseback riding, mountain biking and OHV riding. We will also have a FREE Scavenger Hunt for families at 1:00 p.m. Kids under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Prizes for Scavenger Hunt winners.
